Newbie living in East Ft. Myers Guys I apologize for submitting w/o introducing my self first. My name is Robby, I'm originally from MS. I have lived in Ft. Myers for 3 years now (FL for 8). My office is in Naples, but most of the time I'm working from home in Ft. Myers.
My jeeping history:
- '64 Willys (w/ my Dad). Pre-driver's license. Fun old jeep we never bothered to fix the brakes on. Just rode it around the pastures in MS.
- '83 CJ-7. This was a bare bones CJ, that was fun as crap, my first real introduction to jeeping and what got me sold on them. I saved my high school graduation money to buy it. Then had to sell the hard top and doors to pay my mom back for loaning me the extra $500 I didn't have to buy it at first. Sadly I eventually rolled this one, but still drove it for a while after that, before selling it for twice what I bought it for. Lots of memories in that jeep.
- '78 CJ-5. Probably more my Dad's jeep than mine, but we both worked on it and drove it equally.
- '80 CJ-7 Laredo. Bought this one while I was in college at Miss State Univ. My first vehicle w/ an automatic. This jeep had A/C and lockers front and rear w/ 32x11.50 BFGs. Good lookin' jeep.
- '86 CJ-7 Laredo. Last of the best! This is my CURRENT jeep and my first jeep after 8 years of living in FL. I was itching for long time to get another one and found it on eBay. Had it shipped down from Michigan, so you probably realize the rust I'm into, and the reason I posted for help w/ my YJ to CJ tub swap.
I have a few things I'm trying to unload from this jeep that I'll post as for sale or trade later.
Well THANKS for the website. I look forward to meeting y'all at trail rides and other events. I know you have special requirements to be on the trail and I don't feel my jeep is quite trail ready, but I'll make the events I can.
Thanks again!

Only requirement really is tow hooks...and that its runing when it gets there.

Welcome to the forum. Hope to see you on the trails sometime. Along with tow hooks a CB Radio is also a requirement. This time of year mud terrain tires are pretty much mandatory unless you want to be strapped to a tow rope for the whole ride.

Nope! I don't like to be towed, but it happens. That's why I probably will not be seeing y'all on the trail for a little while longer, but maybe at other events.
Thanks though!
